Please help us welcome to the world Miss Lucy Leigh Margolin! Lucy was born on November 21, 2008 at 10:26am at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, weighing 7lbs, 12oz and measuring 20 inches. Mom and baby are doing great.Leigh Ann labored at home for a solid 12 hours, then another 18 at the hospital. When progress stalled at hour 30 our doctor decided to break the waters. Unfortunately, after this, LuLu's heart rate dropped to dangerous levels with each contraction, so Leigh Ann was taken in for a c-section. Shortly thereafter we got to say hello to the little lady!
We've been fortunate to have Leigh Ann's mom, Deborah, with us throughout for crucial support, as well as visits during labor from Leigh Ann's dad, John. Afterwards we were visited by Leigh Ann's brother Matt, and our friends Rich & Claudia, Henri & Daniel, and Kevin & Cristina.
We want to send our deepest thanks to Leigh Ann's parents, Deborah & John, for all of their support during labor.
Thanks to Cristina for popping by to visit and thanks to the Boots for taking Reggie on the fly. Sorry for you having to feel compelled to pick up other dogs' doodoo out of fear someone will think it was Reggie's. Ahh, the world of dog ownership.
We also want to send thanks out to everyone who called, texted, emailed, and sent positive thoughts during labor, and many thanks for all the beautiful flowers, cakes, croissants, balloons, and bubble-gum cigars folks sent. Everything helped to really brighten up the room!
We'll have some more pics out in the days ahead, but for now here are some shots from the past couple days.

Aw! Dan and I are so happy for you. We were thinking about you, but decided to wait patiently to hear the news. Thank you so much for all the wonderful pictures of everyone! They are fantastic! Lucy is beautiful and we can't wait to meet her soon! Love you guys!

She is beautiful. Really! Babies don't come out looking that good usually. Congrats and Lan you deserve quite an award for such a crazy long labor. Love you guys!
