13 months and Holiday FUN!!

Lu in the bath

This month has been lots of fun, starting with Thanksgiving! We had a big family celebration with the Margolins, including a special visit from 98-year-old Grandma Pearl! It was a lovely evening with great food and family fun.

The next big excitement this month was Lucy's first real Hanukkah! While she was technically "around" for it last year, we didn't really get to celebrate with the Margolins since we were still in California. This year, we had a big family celebration on the first night of Hanukkah, and we had lots of fun eating, playing games, and exchanging gifts. (No pictures yet- sorry!)

We also had a more intimate Hanukkah celebration on the 4th night with just Bubbe and Papa at our house. Lucy got to help light the menorah, and open many more gifts that she loved! It was a very nice night, and Bubbe and Papa even had a sleepover with us!

With her 1st Birthday and Hanukkah under her belt, Lucy is really starting to get the hang of this present-opening thing...

...but she can still use a little help from Reggie!

With Bubbe, Papa, and her new Rody!

Fun with dad!

Other than Hanukkah, we have mostly been hanging around, getting ready for more holiday fun. Lucy has been practicing walking, talking, and eating a LOT! Lucy is known as a monster-eater... she can really pack it away!

Helping me "clean" (not really) by emptying her bib/burpcloth bin and sitting in it :)

She is not walking on her own yet, but is walking VERY well holding on to things. Her favorite activity in the world (besides eating) is zooming around the house with her walker (HUGE thanks to the Metzgers!!!)

Fun in the bath!

The Grabowskys have all arrived in town, and we are anxiously awaiting Christmas! Like Hanukkah, this will be Lucy's first "real" Christmas celebration. We can hardly wait!

And the best part of all is that it looks like we will have our first white Christmas! It started snowing this morning and it is supposed to keep up for the next couple days. Yippee!
