(This post is actually from Rick- sorry- we are still fiddling with the settings!)
We're in the home stretch. This being my first post, I thought it important to let everyone know how well Leigh Ann's been doing. Pregnancy is uncomfortable for every expectant mother, but Lan has done such a great job weathering it all and keeping things in perspective. Its revealed to me so much about her strength and overall positive outlook on life.
The house is almost finally put back together. For those who hadn't heard, our condo complex was completely re-plumbed a couple weeks ago. Construction projects being what they are, the whole thing took a lot longer than we were told to expect. During that time the Grabowskys and then Rich & Claudia Boot were so kind to let me, Lan, and Reggie move in with them. It was a lot of fun spending evenings with everyone. We can't thank the Grabowskys and Boots enough for opening their homes to us.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to Lan's family: John, Deb, and Matt. Once we were able to get back in our house Deb came up with Blanca and they did a cleaning on our house like its never had before. Then they all came up a few days later and helped us paint and put the house back together. We couldn't have done it all without their help.
We also need to thank all our friends here in Santa Barbara who so generously offered to help with the house and other things to make the past few weeks easier. Thank you all so much for all your offers, help and support.
Now we're in sit-and-wait mode. T-minus days (weeks?) and counting!
